Wow William a Great Image of the Great White Egret and reflection. I am originally from Baltimore. I was wondering where you got these beautiful shots ?? Thanks, Paulette Thomas

William Bitman replied:

Thank you. I was in the Shark Valley area of the Everglades last winter. I stayed in my car while it rained for 2 hours in the morning. When it finally stopped raining, I set up my tripod and 400mm f/2.8 lens along the bank of the canal across from this great egret. The water was like glass after the rain. Suddenly, the egret saw a fish and lifted his wing, probably to create more contrast so he could see the fish better.
