Artist's Description
Variegated fritillary butterfly camouflaged among the pebbles embedded in the asphalt. When I tried to photograph this butterfly when he was on a flower, it flew off and landed on green grass. I went over to him, trying again to photograph him. In response, he landed on the road which was paved with a ground gravel mixture. The butterfly thought he was cleverly camouflaged, therefore, he did not move as I finally successfully captured him on my camera's sensor.
